YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED:
Where is your studio located?
I am located in Heathmont, proudly serving clients throughout Melbourne, Victoria. My studio is a very comfortable 30 minute drive from the city, just take the Eastlink and exit via Canterbury Road Ringwood, easy!
Do you travel to client’s homes to do sessions?
All sessions take place in my cosy and relaxing home studio where everything is set up ready to go for your session – you won’t need to do a thing except feed bub if need be. I also have my various products on display that you can ooh and ahh over!
Can my husband/partner/other siblings take part in the session?
Absolutely! I encourage family members to attend and participate in the photography session.
When is the best time to do maternity sessions?
The ideal time is between 32 and 36 weeks.
When is the best time to do a newborn session?
I love to capture natural and cozy shots of newborn babies typically between 1-3 weeks of age – this is when they are still nice and sleepy and curly and baby acne and flaky skin usually haven’t appeared. In saying that though we can still get the beautiful newborn shots up until 5 weeks of age.
I’ve missed the newborn age, when is the next best age to photograph?
Between 4 to 10 months of age. This is when we can capture lots of beautiful wide-eye shots, smiles and giggles. Between 7 to 10 months is one of my favourite ages – babies are usually sitting up by themselves and there are lots of lovely smiles, chubbiness and personality!! Delicious!
How long does the session last?
Newborn sessions generally last around 3 hours, with time for feeds and settling etc. and the session is never rushed – It’s very easy-going and stress-free for all involved. Maternity and baby sessions usually last around 1-1.5 hours. I only book one photo session a day so I can concentrate on you and your precious one.
When should I book my session?
It is highly advisable to book your session as early as possible to avoid missing out. I limit the amount of sessions per month to ensure the highest quality of service to each individual client. The best time to book a newborn session is whilst you are still pregnant to ensure your special date is reserved. A tentative date for your newborn session will be made based on your due date – if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected another suitable date will be arranged. If you have already had your baby please still contact me as I may still be able to fit you in and if I can’t I will be happy to refer you to some other photographers who also have expertise in newborn photography.
What do I need to wear and what should I bring?
Upon booking a session you will be given access to the ‘client lounge‘ here on the website. Detailed information is provided to ensure that you get the very best from your photography session, including a comprehensive guide on ‘what to wear’.
Are you vaccinated against Whooping Cough?
Yes! I am fully vaccinated. My business is also fully insured and registered.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Gift vouchers are only available to partner/spouse involved. Custom photography involves a level of commitment both personally and financially and therefore I only make bookings directly with the actual client.
What if I need to reschedule?
I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, so if you must change your session date please contact me at your earliest opportunity. Please note that the booking fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to another date.
When will our photos be ready to view and how do we order them?
Approximately 3 weeks after your photo session your images will be uploaded into a private on-line gallery for viewing for seven days. You will have the chance to view your images at your leisure and select your favourite ones. You can simply place your order by sending me an email advising me of your package choice, or if you wish we can make an appointment for an in-person ordering session.
How do I book a photo session?
You can either phone me on 0419 572 200 or email me via the CONTACT page and we’ll get started! We will discuss details of your session, select dates and I will then forward you an invoice for the session fee to hold your spot. Payment is usually made on-line via bank transfer.
